The traditions, practices and essence of Sufism are presented as expressed to American seekers by Sheik Muzaffer al Jerrahi, a 20th century
Sufi master who brought the Jerrahi lineage to North America. Sufism is a very liberal spiritual path whose shell is said to be, by its adherents,
Islam ,but whose core is the mystical essence of all Spiritual Paths .

Rumi  the  16th Turkish Sufi poet said to be the most oft quoted poet in USA was a great universalist
Rumi's teachings expressed that love is the path to spiritual growth and insight. Broadly tolerant of all people and other faiths,
Engraved in gold letters above the entrance to Rumi's shrine in Konya, Turkey are these words.

Whoever you may be, come
Even though you may be
An infidel, a pagan, or a fire-worshipper, come
Our brotherhood is not one of despair
Even though you have broken
Your vows of repentance a hundred times, come.
