THE WAYS OF PRAYER -- A DIALOGUE
PURNIMA, DENA BLAY-STROBA
11AM, 10/29-- Lakeshore Interfaith Institute / Mothers Trust
6676 122nd Ave Ganges Mi  49408 www.motherstrust.org
What is prayer? Why do we pray? How do we pray? When do we pray? Prayer alone---prayer in community? As humans, we often feel our minds and hearts surging beyond ourselves into the realm of Spirit. This spiritual exploration is often described as prayer. Purnima (DBS) will explore with the assembly how it is that we experience this very human phenomenon.

Purnima (Dena Blay-Stroba, OCDS) a Secular Carmelite Formation Director and teacher, and director of the World Faith Traditions Course at MT/M, has explored the ways of prayer for most of her life. Formally, she has studied with Carmelite teachers, and is an initiated disciple of Swami Bhashyananda, and so has studied spirituality from many different perspectives. She invites you to come and share your experiences with us.

At noon Michelle Gauthier will lead an interfaith worship consisting of prayers and meditation from a variety of faith traditions
At 2pm  Shirley Saxinger, MSW will lead a Womens Workshop on Family Roles and Types of Anger
