Glorria Larrieu

Musician and English Professor Gloria Larrieu holds conversation about issues of culture and spirit in Native American Culture, focusing on Hopi, Navajo, and Pueblo People, along with other tribes.
Dr. Larrieu, who hails from Navajo/Hopi land in the Southwest, will tell stories, discuss literature, both fiction and non-fiction, that depicts aspects of Indian culture and myth. Conversation will include "The Hopi Survival Kit" by Thomas E. Mails; poetry by Sherman Alexie and Joy Harjo; the novel, "Ceremony" by Leslie Marmon Silko; and Silko's "Language and Literature from a Pueblo Indian Perspective" and more.
