SPIRITUAL SCRAPBOOKING WORKSHOP
with JAN HARINGSMA of The UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION
AUGUST 27
LAKESHORE INTERFAITH INSTITUTE
6676 122nd Ave GANGES MI
"Inspired by the writings of Monica Wood, SARK, Natalie Goldberg, Sarah Ban Breathnach and Julia Cameron, my writing has evolved into a daily practice that helps to keep me centered. The writing practice grew to include "scrapbooking", following a suggestion given by my writing coach Laura Keston of Inner Light Ministries. Laura leads two writing groups (one in Michigan and one in Texas) that use writing as part of the healing process. Based on her delightful example, presented to Stories Untold-MI, I started Spiritual Scrapbooking as a daily mindfulness practice. Then, I created a Native American scrapbook for the World Wisdom Study - it was definitely driven by Spirit.
To get started with your own Spiritual Scrapbook, please join me on Saturday August 27 from 10AM-4PM. It is easy - no right or wrong way to do it. Just bring a scrapbook, photo album or wire bound sketch book. I like 8" X 8" best, but any size will work.. Also, bring your favorite adhesive, a good scissor, and clippings, photos, magazines, stickers, old greeting cards, gift wrap, etc. I will bring clipped artworks from my stash to share as well. Bring a brown bag lunch. beverages provided, cost 10.00 tel.269-543-3951"
