Larry is a noted story teller of Native American
Wisdom Stories. At 11am he will tell some of the Creation and Wisdom stories
that have formed the oral tradition of the Annishnabe people of the Great
Lakes region for many centuries. There will be opportunities for questions.
He has published a memoir, entitled, Lost From
The Ottawa; The Story of the Journey Back.
Due to various circumstances,
Mr. Plamandon was separated from his Native American
parents and heritage at birth, but through a fascinating and perilous route,
eventually finds his way back. The more famous persona in the memoir include
Eldridge Cleaver, Allen Ginsburg, William Kunsler, various hippies, several
Black [and White] Panthers and ultimately, a great Ottawa spiritual leader,
Lewis Sawaquat, who, through a Vision Quest, reintroduced Larry to his Native
American Spiritual heritage.
At noon, an interfaith worship service will follow Mr. Plamandon's presentation
At 2pm, after a potluck lunch, Larry will read from and sign copies of
his book.
All are welcome!
