Mary Driver is a Buddhist teacher from Kalamazoo, who draws inspiration
from a variety of Buddhist traditions.
She has led meditation circles for many years and has evolved a very
down to earth understanding of the Noble
Eightfold Path as taught by Lord Buddha. She will give a brief overview
of Buddhist ideals, especially as they apply
to life in the USA. Ms. Driver will lead a guided meditation and also
answer questions on how Buddhism can solve many
of the perplexing everday problems we face.
At noon Mrs. Debbie Aliya will lead an Interfaith Worship
service that incorporates prayers , readings and music from several
different religions of the world. Jim Cooper, of The Lakeshore Jazz Connection
will provide music for meditation.
A veggie potluck lunch is offered at 1pm.
At 2pm the film Rumi; Poet of
the Heart will be shown . No charge but donations are encouraged
