THE
LAKESHORE INTERFAITH COMMUNITY LOCATED AT MOTHERS PLACE
is a community of dedicated individuals working together for
the common good of people from various faiths, religions and
spiritual backgrounds. The LakeShore Interfaith Community maintains
a strong commitment to the integrity of each religion and faith
tradition, and believes that each can better remain true to
itself by honoring the truths inherent in all traditions

THE
LAKESHORE INTERFAITH COMMUNITY LOCATED AT MOTHERS PLACE
will
be offering a new program in April-Dec.2003 titled, "Peace
and Justice". This program will offer an opportunity to
examine dimensions of violence, prejudice and oppression on
personal, community, societal, and global levels. We will study
the vision and techniques of nonviolence and explore compassion,
conflict resolution and transformative peace building.

LAKESHORE INTERFAITH COMMUNITY LOCATED AT MOTHERS PLACE
will
be undertaking a journey of discovery, we will face, own, and
challenge violence and its underlying assumptions while learning
practical means for creatively cultivating active nonviolence
in our lives, our families, our communities and in the world.

wisdom of the worlds spiritual traditions and with education,
study and dialogue as their method, invoke understanding, acceptance
and respect for all. The Lakeshore Interfaith Community programs
and activities are founded on the principle of unity in diversity.
Each individual is centered in their own faith while participating
and sharing in the faiths of others.
