Sri Sri Sarada
Mata Ashram
Ganges, Michigan
Sri
Ramakrishna and Sri Sarada Devi are the foundation of the Sri
Sri Saradeshwari Ashram. It is through this holy lineage that
Mother's Trust / Mother's Place, Sri Sri Sarada Mata Ashram came
into being. In the spirit of universality and acceptance, Sri
Sri Sarada Mata Ashram wants to provide a place where everyone
may find something beneficial for their spirit and useful to their
lives. For some, the ashram provides a haven; let them find rest
and rejuvenation. For others, the ashram is a home, a place where
monasticism is appreciated and practiced. Others find a sacred
place to practice their own faith in a meditation hut or a secluded
spot on the 68 acre property. The young may find guidance concerning
religion and culture. Whereas some find the multi-cultural and
interfaith dialogue programs most appealing, the rituals of Hinduism
appeal to the needs and interests of others. We respect and foster
the uniqueness of everyone's path to Divinity.

Sri Sri Saradeshwari
Ashram
Kolkata, India
Established
in 1895, the Sri Sri Saradeshwari Ashram in Kolkata was the first
monastic organization in the lineage of Sri Ramakrishna and Sri
Sarada Devi. Gauri Mata Puri Devi, a sannyasini disciple of Sri
Ramakrishna was the founder of the ashram. The ashram was named
after the Holy Mother and dedicated by her. Gauri Ma's successor,
Durga Mata Puri Devi, received initiation and sannyas from Sri
Sarada Devi. It is to her that we owe our thanks for the ashram's
most valuable possession-Sri Ramakrishna's japa mala, dedicated
at the feet of Sri Sarada Devi by the Master himself at the time
of Shodasi puja. Just before Sri Sarada Devi's Mahasamadhi, the
Holy Mother gave it to Durga Ma.
